Two free synths, two very different vibes – but both absolute must-haves.
Odin 2 is like someone stuffed a spaceship full of synthesis methods and gave you the controls. I use t alot on my Jellyfish Syndrome for SFX.

You’ve got wavetable, FM, phase modulation, analog emulation, vector synthesis—all wrapped in a modular-style interface that somehow stays intuitive.
It’s aggressive, flexible, massive—and completely free.
Perfect for psy leads, evolving FX, alien atmospheres… anything that needs a bit of sonic wizardry.
Honestly, it competes with paid synths that cost $$$.
And then there’s the Surrealistic MG-1 Plus, which couldn’t be more different.
It’s a beautifully modeled recreation of the vintage Realistic MG-1, originally made by Moog for RadioShack in the early ’80s.
This one’s all about warm, fuzzy, lo-fi analog charm.
The filter is buttery, the polyphony is limited (in a good way), and the thing just oozes character.
It’s great for creamy basslines, retro synth hooks, and psychedelic chords with a bit of drift and dust.
They’re both free. No catch. No excuses.
🧪 One’s a modular Norse god.
🧸 The other’s a toy from the ‘80s that grew up and got weird.
And we love them both.
